My State FFA Trip Tuesday i got to MHS at 10:57am- we were leavin at 11 am. Everyone was on the bus and i had to hurry and find a seat somewhere, which sucked! we arrived in Clinton, SC at 1:30 in the pouring rain and had lunch at either Subway, Waffle House, or McDonalds. I chose McDonalds! got back in the bus and traveled to Clemson. We got there at around 4-ish. we chilled out around the hotel which was off da chain! at 8 we had pizza's and then me Emily, Sara, Meagan, Victor, and Carrie(our State FFA vice president!) watched the Miss Universe Pageant on tv. Carrie left at 9:58pm cuz she needed to be back at hotel at 10pm! lol she was late! we then watched CKY-Camp Kill Yourself! it was hilarious! We went to bed around 1:30 maybe? maybe later i dunno. i shared the bed with Sara and Emily and Meagan shared the other bed. Wednesday we woke up and chilled out around the hotel until 12. i went to Erin, Aiken, Beth, and Kelly's room and watched Maury... it was sweet! got dressed alike in our FFA shirts and went to the university to go register. went back to the hotel and ate at Rockhoppers! (penguins EVERYWHERE!) got dressed in official dress at around 6.(ugh at cordaroye(sp) jackets, black pants, white shirts and a tie! they suck in the SC heat) went to the Convention Hall to the first session and saw Carrie conduct a meeting! we are so proud of her! Andre sang the national anthem for us. it rocked! as he always does! we went to Ruby Tuesday's around 10:30pm got back to hotel and got ready for bed. Sara like fell out asleep while Meagan, Emily, and I talked and stood on the balcony flipping guys across from us off! i was sittin in my bed when Emily and Meagan screech and slam the balcony doors, lock them, and shut the curtains! i was like wtf? and emily runs and locks our door. i was like what is it? and emily said i flipped that guy off and now they're comin over to our room and they're drunk!!! i was like oh ok atleast the doors are locked! so we calm down and peak out the window and the guys arent there so Emily is freakin out! then they start callin. Old guys, young guys you name it! and we were freaked out! so then we get calmed down and someone knocks at our door! we all hide and giggle. then we look through the lookhole and noone is there. btw there is this mysterious Mexican sitting in a computer chair chainsmoking and watching us. this freaked Emily and Meagan out more! me being older than these freshman(newly sophomores and me a senior!) i was nominated to look out the door. i walked to the door and i said "IF MY HEAD GETS CHOPPED OFF WHEN I LOOK OUT HERE IMA KILL YOU BOTH!" Meagan was like you'll be dead tho.. i was like whatever. of course i look out both ways and see NOONE! lol we then giggle and go to bed.. its around 2:30am and we all need to be up around 8am the next morning! Thursday i go to a morning session at 8:15am and find out i have to get my State FFA Degree that day! i was like soo nervous... but i walked on stage got my certificate and pin and went and sat back down. it wasnt so bad! around 12 we go back to the hotel and change and get the Parlimentary Procedure Team (Meagan, Courtney, Shonda, Emily, Ashley, and two other girls), Creed Speaker (Sara), and Greenhand Quizbowl (a buncha freshmen) team and take them to their competition spots and then the rest of us headed to Tiger-Town! Me, Sara, and Jodi walked around tiger-town and i bought 2 Clemson shirts and a tiger paw for my FFA jacket. then we went back to the hotel and i got an oreo milkshake from Rockhoppers! it was yum! then we got dressed and went to the 3rd general session and waited to find out who got top 3 in Poly Pro, Quizbowl, and Creed Speaking. we got top 3 in all!! yay! then we watch a star search type thing with Barrett Keene(Last years National FFA Vice President) as our announcer and boy is he sexy! he also sat with us during the session! cuz we are the best lol! we got back to the hotel around 1am and heated up mini pizzas in a microwave in the lobby! us white girls in 333 planned to have a party cuz it was our last night but the black girls beat us to it! and theirs was sooooo much fun! Me, Aiken, Emily, and Meagan went! Taprilena, Tina, Sasha, and Tara taught us white girls how to dance lol and we sang the songs and laughed and got jiggy with it! we finally went to bed around 3 and woke up at 6 to go a session at 8. Friday we arrived at the session and found our seats! we were gunna find out whether our teams had won! and if John was gunna get a state officer position! they called up quizbowl and we got 2nd! which is good because it was our first time ever competing in it and we got 2nd outta 12 teams! Sara and Haynes go onstage and SARA WON FIRST IN CREED SPEAKING!!!! me and beth and everyone else could not stop screamin for her! Haynes practically shook her head off he was so excited then the Parly Pro team took stage and they called out 3rd then 2nd and they didnt announce us cuz when they announced 2nd we went crazy! we screamed and hollered and Hayned shook his butt on stage at the crowd and we just couldnt stop screamin! WE WON AGAIN! 5TH YEAR INA ROW! then we waited...and JOHN GOT STATE FFA PRESIDENT! life could not have been better! things were soooo great! he came and hugged us all and closed the meeting and we went onstage and kept screamin his name! gotta love us:) we then left at 11 and went to Clinton had lunch then i made it home at 4pm! it was an amazing trip and i cant wait for Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky! well thats the good news. on with the bad. my brother got in an accident saturday night and totaled his truck... he was blessed he lived. his truck was smashed on his side and he tore up the guardrails on the interstate.. it was scarey and all but he's ok..some bumps and sore places but he'll be fine. we were all so worried cuz the truck flipped 7 times and they all could have died.. it was Patrick (my bro), Lance, Brandon, and Robert. they're all bruised up and they are sooooooo blessed to be alive right now! the truck is demolished. anyways.. WES MIGHT BE HOME BY NOW! lol he's finally outta the frickin dessert! he was in Kuwait for a long timeee! and and and!!! Daniel comes home Monday (from Hawaii)! my dad is having a stress test done tomorrow..thats really scarey cuz he's very sick and his heart is hurting him:( so we're worried. we got a new computer chair! it is off the chain! its comfy and cute! and i saw Daddy Daycare saturday! it was sooo cute! ima have to get it when it comes out on dvd! we were gunna see Finding Nemo but it sold out! so that sucked but DDC was sooo good! i got like alotta stuff from Frizz-Ease so my hair is gunna look so cute and curly! anyways i'm tired and i'm burpin chili fries from Hardee's! yuck lol night! lemme some!
